Now I'm listening to a song by Shadmehr Aghili. I've bought the CD for 800 toomans (the average price you can buy an audio CD here is 3000 toomans) in the street form a peddlar. He is a young Iranian singer. First he started his professional carrier by singing a song about God which was once so popular in radio and TV. He is also a composer. His second work was a tape of the musics of some old songs. And then he again tried singing. He tired pop songs. His pop album also became popular both in Iran and also among Iranians abroad. But his second album named Fariba (a female Iranian name) was banned. But it could be bought in black markets. Then he tried acting in some low class films! But once we heared he has moved to Canada. And now you can here the song everywhere in taxies and everywhere. He has danced with a girl in the clip. But they say he isn't so succesful. His visa is expired so he can't stay in Canada and for sure he can't come back to Iran.

I said that the IT center in Zahedan has caused changes in their city. For exapmle they told me that after they held a class for the journalists and they tought them principles of setting the texts and columns in a page, now you can feel the improvemnet in newspapers' layout. Also after these classes has let everyone to know about the impotance of knowing to know how to work with computres and internet. They said the provincal governer's wife comes to their classes. And the reason we were there was to sign a contract between our university and the provincal governer for a series of classes under the lisence of ICDL.

Tehran international book fair : a special event which even affects on Taxi prices, and you can see in all important squares, Taxi drivers shout "namaayeshgaah" (means they go to the place of the fair ),there is a heavy traffic near the fair,... and all these are more surprising when you know the amount of reading in Iran is less than many countries even in third world ...

BBC

There were some interesting points this year, for example there was a booth named "freedom of speech" covered by photos of "18 tir" (the day that Tehran University dormitory was attacked by ...), seeing these images and that name everybody thaught it might be sth that shows state of students who were oppresed, but there were only " Farhad Nazari "'s book about his court, he was the first accused of this event, and he was aquited by judicial system which conservatives take control. Almost everybody who passed there was shocked by this , took a quick look at books and maybe whispered a swear word... but who cares?

Today I had a very short (half a day) to Zahedan. There we visited ITC. Zahedan is a very poor city in Iran. There in the airplane I could see kiloometrs and kiloometers of sandy mountains, all dry. It was very beautiful from that distance but this drought has made Zahedan a very poor city. It is also very close to Afghanistan and so very famous for availabilty of opium and lack of safety. This ITC (Information Technology Center) is located in a very poor area in Zahedan. It is founded with the help of Science and Arts Foundation and also World Bank.
There they hold classes in many different fields, from very elementary skills to work with computer 'Windows', 'Word', 'Internet' and... to some advanced ones 'Corel Draw', 'Photoshop', 'Java Programming' and .... And all these are managed by a group of 20 or so of young boys and girls. They get to the ideas in brainstorming sessions. Some of the teachers go there from Tehran, once or twice a week, but after they trained some students, the students themselves, become teachers for the new students. They have all sort of students. From doctors to shop keepers. From journalists to housewives. They have caused many changes in their city.
